Bang! Bangs!

So as I indicated in an earlier post I went to the salon with my friend Cris the other day and we had a ball!
We went to Kinki Kappers here in The Hague, and I liked it a lot! I have heard a lot about them, and Cris has only but good experiences with hairdressers of this salon! She only gets her hair cut there.

Even though some people might feel they are a bit on the pricier side since they do charge € 41 for a haircut, I must say that they do a hell of a job. They use premium brands like Kerastase and they inform you really well on what to get and what would never ever suit you. And I really appreciate that! My hair is the kind of hair that needs extra care and can't be left done by beginners... I'm not being snobby or anything but my hair has this thick texture that needs to be handled in hands of people who know what they are doing, or else it can turn into a disaster and believe me it has happened before!! :-(

I love the interior of the salon too, it's very funky and colorful, and the chairs are really comfortable. My hairdressers' name was Mo, and he was the sweetest and cutest thing (person) ever! He gave me a lot of advice on hair products and things I should definitely take into consideration when styling my hair. I have thick, curly hair, but ever since I moved over here my curls disappeared and never returned back. Now I'm used to my "wavy" or straight hair. Honestly it's easier to manage straight hair. Simply because I like to have it in a knot, or a pony tail... and also I can't do anything with my hair... I see loads of girls do all these cute braids and what not... I CAN'T! I tried sooo many times but I can't pull any hairstyles (myself). Plus I'm a bit lazy when it comes to my hair.

Anyways, Mo made sure that I kept my length nice and "long", by only cutting off the dead ends and giving my hairstyle some "life", that's what he said that my hair needed. And then he cut my bang and I started to panic a little bit, because I thought he forgot I told him I was considering bangs... But before I knew it a whole chunk of hair was gone! LOL!
And here are the results! Too bad I don't have a before picture, but oh well...

I'm not really photogenic, so I had a tough time taking pictures and choosing the right one to post. I'm completely honest about it too... :-)
It takes a little getting used to again with all that hair in my face... But hopefully after a couple of days it will feel like it was always there! :-)

*Hair*Make*Over*

My friend Cristle and I, are in quite a pickle.
We have a hair appointment tomorrow... But we are not quite sure what to get done!

I for one, don't want to get my hair too short because it took me like forever to grow back in a "pony-tail length"
I want to get just get the dead ends off, but I know for sure that once I'm sitting in that chair I'm going to let the hairdresser chop everything off!
I used to have bangs, which were really cute and they made me look very youthful, and I really liked that! The one thing I hated about it though, was the fact that I had to style them every single day otherwise they would look really messy and not pretty! I don't know what to get!! We have been Google-ing some hairstyles and even though Cristle already knows what's she's going to get, I'm still thinking... hmmmmmm......

Me and my friend Cristle

I'm pretty sure I will be getting bangs, but I want something more!! I LOVE Katy Perry's colored highlights... But I don't know if they will suit me.. I guess I have to sleep on it and once I'm in their chair I will decide....
I will give an update of which hairstyle I chose, and how it looks. On both of us!

I just love her highlights!! Except the blue one..

There is no greater love, than the love of food!

I don’t think there is anything more fun and exciting than preparing, cooking and sharing meals with people you love. (Well there is; makeup! But we need food to survive; you can’t EAT makeup now, can you?) Food unites people, and makes them come together to share stories, laughter, celebrate and sometimes even share sadness.
I must say I am not the greatest cook in the world (for that I have awesome friends that are… you know who you are!), and I don’t pretend to be either… but I do know that every time I do cook, I do so with passion and with love. I might not know a hundred ways to cook chicken, but the way I know how is unique, just because I put so much effort and dedication into it… and I know that it is always appreciated by the ones I serve it to. :-)
And that’s all that matters!

However, when the wallet allows it, I love to go out to dinner! I mean who doesn’t? I love going out to cozy little restaurants, to meet up with my friends, but I also love going to regular crowded restaurants where I have to scream to the person sitting across me. I just love having dinner with friends, colleagues, family, and pets or whatever… I love to sit in a restaurant, get served really delicious food, have a wonderful conversation and pay a reasonable tab.

So, because I like eating out so much, I have put together a list of some of my favorite “local” restaurants. “Local” because they are all situated in The Hague, and there is where I live, so there you go! It wasn’t really hard to compile this list; I’m a creature of habit, and once I like something I stick to it. That’s just how I roll.
Below I have my 5 favorites, in random order. From Cuban to Japanese, to English and Italian. There’s something there for anyone… I think. I’m pretty sure, a lot of people who have had dined out in The Hague or are familiar with the restaurants, will agree with me… On the other hand I’m pretty sure some won’t, but this is my personal opinion. And if you ever happen to be in The Hague, you should probably check them out! :-)

La Cubanita
Noordeinde 138A
2514GP Den Haag
Tel: 070-3605428

Love the coziness of dark candle lit restaurants… with the rustic setting of being in an old Cuban house complete with salsa music, “cuba libre’s” and cigars? I know I do! Sans de cigars of course, not really my thing.
Even though “Tapas” are known to be a Spanish tradition, La Cubanita is a tapas restaurant. And they are a pretty good one too! If you were expecting to hear all about me eating “aroz con pollo “guess again.
La Cubanita offers a variety of 50 Tapas in a range of types. For instance you can have cold tapas, meat tapas, or fish and even vegetarian tapas. The great thing about La Cubanita is, for those looking deep in their pockets, they offer ALL YOU CAN EAT tapas on Monday’s through Thursday’s for the low price of €17,50 per person. You can have 2 tapas per person per round, and even if desserts are not included, believe me after 2 or 3 rounds you won’t be able to stand up! (I speak from own experiences). Also drinks are not included, but surprisingly they are not as expensive as one might think.

The restaurant has a really cozy interior, I mean if you like rustic furniture, dim lights, Che Guevara posters and writings on the walls, it’s really snug and it gave me a real Cuban feeling.
The tapas are really nice, and because of the large variety I wasn’t sure what to pick, but if you are with a group, you can always choose a bunch of things and share it, so that everyone gets a taste of everything. Sharing is caring people!
Overall the service isn’t too bad either, unfortunately the waitresses don’t speak Spanish (as far as I know; that would have given me a real Cuban feeling!), but it was okay. I used to be a waitress myself, so I know how much hard work it is to serve people and I won’t trash talk on the waitress, she did a pretty decent job. :-)

Check out the website for the Menu, locations, game rules etc.
The restaurant is to be found in over more than 10 locations across The Netherlands, so I’m pretty sure there is one near you!

VIP Very Italian Pizza
Kettingstraat 13-15
2511AM Den Haag
Tel: 070-3654541
www.veryitalianpizza.nl

If you have ever seen how Italian families dine together; everyone comes together, loads of laughter, loud shouting, and a HUGE amount of food… You will definitely LOVE VIP!
It’s very hard to find an authentic Italian restaurant here, or maybe I wasn’t looking… You might think that since we live in such close proximity with Italy, we would have loads of authentic Italian restaurants scattered all over the city. If you consider the pizza from the “Shoarma Boer” a real pizza, than I’m not sure how I would respond to that. But then again I’m not the type that goes out to a restaurant to eat Pizza… I would much rather have that delivered. But in any case, on to VIP.
VIP falls in the category of large, noisy restaurant. Situated in the city centre of The Hague, it has a perfect location for when you just finished your shopping spree, or if you decide that afterwards you want to grab a cocktail or go dancing.

Having as much as 17 different pasta dishes and more than 20 pizzas to choose from there is definitely something there for anyone’s taste buds. Not only that, but they have amazing antipasti, salads and soups.
There is one thing that I really like about this restaurant; they have the option of sharing your pasta! Say for instance you and your friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, mom, dad, or whomever you decide to have dinner with, choose the same dish, like perhaps, one of my favorites Tortellini Prosciutto e Panna, which is tortellini filled with Parma ham in cream sauce, YOU can SHARE a bowl! The bowls are for 4 people, and not only is it convenient, less expensive, it’s cozy!
And don’t worry about your pocket. Prices range from €6 to €10 per pasta dish and depending on which pasta dish you and your entourage choose, your bowl of pasta can range from €21 to €36 per bowl.
Did I mention that their pizzas are “steen oven”? Oven-baked! The pizzas are made according to original and traditional baking processes.
The service in VIP is sublime,-like you would expect to be treated in a place called VIP!- not only do some of the waiter/waitresses actually speak Italian, but they are actually really friendly and don’t mind me saying they are cute. Simply because they have this Italian charm, that just makes any girl blush.

If you want to see more of their menu please don’t hesitate to check out their website for more information!
Lei sarà impressionato! You will be impressed!

Los Argentino’s
Kettingstraat 14
Den Haag
Tel: 070-3468523
www.los-argentinos.nl

Anyone who knows me really well knows how much I love meat and how much I love Argentina. I have never been there, but at a very young age I discovered that Argentina would be my ultimate destination and I am one of their BIGGEST fans not only in producing good meat and tango, but also in SOCCER! Yes, I said it, I’m for Argentina…! And I have some other great teams I love but we are not going to talk about soccer.
We are going to talk about one of the greatest steak restaurants in the centre of The Hague! Just writing about it makes my mouth water, seriously!!

In any case, this is one of my favorite meat restaurants, even though I know there is one really good on the beach (AHUM!). What prices concern this particular restaurant might be a little bit more on the pricier side since we are talking about meat, however, compared to some other restaurants it is still pretty affordable. There is steak available from €8 to €20 and there is also a salad bar to enjoy from. The one thing I love about this restaurant is the comfortable atmosphere.
Like I said before I love snug restaurants where you feel like you are somewhere else instead of being where you actually are. The service is really amicable, and that is one thing I really appreciate, besides the food of course! :-)

This restaurant is in the heart of The Hague city centre; actually it is right across from VIP. Be sure though to make a reservation because I have seen people get turned down many times, and also people who have waited a long time to get a table.

Shabu Shabu
Torenstraat 138
2516BW Den Haag
Tel: 070-3628679
www.shabushabu.nl

Sushi became a trend in a matter of seconds. I remember eating sushi back in the day and people thought I was gross for eating raw fish. It’s funny how celebrities have such an influence on people, since they are eating sushi, everybody else wants to eat sushi now. Thumbs up for that! ;-)
There is this one awesome sushi restaurant in The Hague that I absolutely LOVE! But since we are doing things on a budget, I’m not even going to mention it!

Shabu Shabu is one of the biggest all you can eat Japanese restaurants in The Netherlands. I have eaten there numerous times and I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed it!
Having an all you can eat restaurant just makes you want to pig out and eat as much as you can… sounds disgusting but it’s the truth!
By paying €21,50 on Monday’s through Wednesday’s and €23,80 on Thursday’s through Sunday I say that’s a pretty amazing deal! And if you decide to lunch there the deal is even better! You only pay €16,95!
You can pick 5 items per person per round and in this case keep a small space in your belly, because dessert is INCLUDED! I can’t even go 3 rounds without finding my way to the bathroom or outside for air. You can really stuff you ass in this restaurant. And you might ask…is it worth it? HELL YEAH! I mean obviously it isn’t the BEST sushi I have ever tried in my life -since they are mass producing- but still, it’s really good.
It is advised to make a reservation especially if your party is bigger than 4 people. The service is quick, polite and friendly. There is not much to say about that!
There are 7 Shabu Shabu restaurants in The Netherlands, so I’m pretty positive there is one in your or near your region, so go check it out!
De tanoshimo! Enjoy!

Scallywags
Wagenstraat 117 or 144
2512AS Den Haag
Tel: 070-3633448
www.scally-wags.nl
Scallywags Tearoom is tiny cozy restaurant that offers English food mixed with creative cooking. This restaurant specializes in brunches and lunches and offers a variety of sandwiches, tosti’s, salads, melts, crumpets, and an extensive selection of tea. Also, in the midday High Tea is served with delicious scones, cake and of course a hot pot of tea!
There are two Scallywags restaurants in the same street in The Hague, and even though I always visit the same one (creature of habit much?) both restaurants offer the same good service, coziness and delicious English food.
Since the restaurant is pretty small it is always advised to make a reservation to make sure you don’t get left outside drooling in the window. That would be a shame!

The one thing I absolutely adore of this bistro is the interior; it must be the cutest thing I have ever seen. Diana Princess of Wales is a focal point of the decoration style and there are many little ornaments that give you a cottage-like feel. As if you were right in London or in a rural location outside of it. What prices concern, it is pretty affordable. And even though the prices are not listed on the menu provided on their website, you can rest assured in knowing that you won’t spend more than 25 quid (haha I mean €) for 2 people. At least I have never spent more than that. And also they have great Specials!
So, if you are into tea, scones, BLT’s and fresh squeezed juice, this is a great place that you should check out! ;-)

All restaurant related pictures were taken from their respective websites and Google.

Telenovelas Online!

 Remember these characters?
Takupay from "Kaina"
Thalia in "Mari Mar"
Gabriela Spanic as Paola Bracho in "La Ursupadora"

WOW! That's way back in time when Telenovelas were available for us via
television! Venevision, Radio Caracas, TVE, and Canal de las Estrallas! These characters are just a few that played a lead role in my favorite Telenovelas when I was younger.

Now, being in Holland for about 4 years I wasn't able to follow any good telenovelas... Until NOW!
YES! Today one can follow any Telenovela of choice via Telemundo!
One of my really good friends Raynor gave me the website, since we both share the passion for Spanish/Hispanic soap operas! And for that I must thank him! Thank you Ray!!

I am currently watching (obsessively) the telenovela "Aurora". And I must say that I was impressed, more like flabbergasted to learn that since the years have passed, telenovelas now, have a movie-like storyline. They have added a lot of futuristic and technological features to telenovelas that I have never seen before. No longer is it ONLY about betrayal, secrets, vengeance, rich families and illegitimate children, but also there is also a lot of suspense regarding modern science and future/past. And OF COURSE passionate and forbidden  LOVE, because we all know that's what all telenovelas are about.

And even though we all know what's going to happen, we can still not stop ourselves from watching! I know I can't!!
So, if you want to join me in "Aurora" or any other telenovela of your liking visit TELEMUNDO and start watching!

A gozar como los viejos tiempos!! :-)

Ps. Just a warning and heads up; you might get ADDICTED! :-)

Glow like JLo

Summer is coming up here in The Netherlands, and for someone like me coming from a small Caribbean island I never thought I would say that summer is one of my favorite seasons! Since I was used to the sun and all, try to hide from it when it was too hot and that kind of crap. Coming up with excuses, like, “can we meet AFTER 4pm, it’s so hot now”. WTF? Whenever the sun comes out around here I try to enjoy it as much as I can and as long as I can! If that means sitting on a terrace for 5 or 6 hours bored out of my mind I will do it! I now appreciate the sun and love it with all my heart.

Everyone is trying to fit in to their bikinis and short shorts, trying to lose the pounds that were accumulated during the long winter season… As for me, I’m trying to get my skin to GLOW like JLO! I love the way that rhymes, her perfume name makes so much more sense now LOL. I pretty much gave up a little bit on the “oh, I can sooo lose all the fat in a month” bull crap. Whatever dude, I want to get tan and pronto! J
How am I going to achieve this? It’s way too hot to go to the tanning salon. I’ve contemplated this many times; I think I still might go just to speed up the process. Or I might try the L’Oreal self-tan spray that I saw in this month’s Cosmo. Just for the sake of trying it out and using it in the comfort of my own home. Okay enough of that!

The real reason I wanted to post this is, because I was stupid enough not to ever purchase the MAC Lustre Drops that came out with the “To the Beach” collection. And for no good reason at all, I just didn’t. So I decided to get them now!

They are now part of the permanent collection, which I think is awesome for those of you who have been disappointed every time they were sold out. I’m not quite sure if the MAC counter in The Hague has the Lustre Drops in stock, but I’m pretty sure the Amsterdam Store has them. I got mine online so maybe my facts suck. But in case you’re interested you can always check out the store/counter for more information.

In any case, MAC describes it as “a bronzer that applies like liquid sun. Water-based, beautifully smooth to apply with added pearlized lustre. Inspired by the popular MAC Face and Body FX. Provides sheer, natural-looking highlights with a luminous, shimmering finish.”

Oeh la la… it sounds so good! And actually it is haha. Of course otherwise I wouldn’t have even bothered purchasing them.
The colors that I got are Sun Rush and Pink Rebel. I think those are the most popular ones and these are the ones offered on the website. There are some other colors like Bronze Hero that was also released in a different collection (Style Warriors ’09) but of course being limited edition it’s pretty hard to get your hands on that.

Both these colors are absolutely amazing and so pretty! And even though the Pink Rebel is a little on the lighter side for my skin tone it would work really well in the winter, because I want to glow all the time, so there you go.

As promised they do apply on smoothly on to the skin and blend out easily to a sheer, shimmery finish. Both the colors provide a healthy (and much needed) glow to the skin and can be used on your cheeks, cupids bow and all over the body (think of your chest/décolletage to create cleavage, your back/shoulders). And I must say I absolutely love the packaging! The small bottles have fine tips that provide -when lightly squeezed- a small amount of product. Which is really all you need, unless of course you want to take the description too literal and actually look like the sun? Whatever toots your horn though!

Sun Rush: is the more bronzed one out of the two and would be perfect for people like me with a warmer undertone. I have to say even for me, I have to blend this out to its “sheerest” finish in order for me not to look too orange. That would be a definite no-no.

Here is a swatch of Sun Rush. On the left a larger amount of product so you can see the color (this is way to much product to use at once.) And next to it a blended out swatch.

Pink Rebel: is somewhat pink-toned and suggested to work better for people with cooler undertones. However, I feel that it works really nice for me (being warm and all) because it gives me a real natural glow, and after all that’s what I’m looking for.
Also, this particular highlighter can be used with your foundation, by mixing the two together one can accomplish an all over glow, which can look really pretty and fresh.

So, to conclude to get that glow for the summer, or spring or winter these Lustre Drops do the job. They are $19.50 a bottle for 18ML/0.60 US FL OZ, but like I said you only need a small amount so it will last you a long time if you go easy on the shimmer. J

Drama...Drama...Drama...Dramatic Lashes!

I have this “thing” with lashes. I don’t quite know why it is that I tend to buy a lot of lashes or fascinate about other people’s lashes… Perhaps it’s because I wasn’t blessed with the longest lashes, and somewhere deep inside me I’m longing for long, thick lashes?? Yeah, that’s probably it!
So, I don’t have long lashes, actually they’re pretty short  and sometimes I wish that I didn’t have to cover my thin lashes with 5 coats of mascara. But I have to, otherwise you would never notice them, or I would never notice them.

One day I was busy doing nothing (as usual) and I stumbled across a website. (I just realized that I shop online way too much!) The website Wimperwensen –translation: lash wishes- is an online store that offers lashes, lashes and more lashes and of course everything that has to do with eyeball hair.

The website has categorized lashes in 5 different types of lashes; Natural, Drama, Glamour, Magic, and Paradise. Meaning: there is plenty to choose from depending on your personal taste. I was particularly intrigued by the category “Paradise”; I mean what does paradise mean? Coconuts hanging from your lashes? So yeah, I wanted to know what that was all about. And I happened to actually buy paradise lashes instead of natural lashes, which was the main reason I went on the site in the first place.
So “paradise” basically just means “extravagant” and by extravagant I mean UBER theatrical. I just HAD to have them.

Unfortunately for me, the lashes were somewhat of a disappointment. I normally buy things online because I like what I see and I expect it to look the SAME as in the pictures. It wasn’t really the case this time. (Normally I’m really lucky when it comes to that).

As you can see above, the lashes don’t look quite like on the model. Okay, I get that I’m not a model; it’s supposed to look different. But what really sucked is the fact the lash band (where the lashes are stuck on) is BLACK. All of the bands are black. Even if the lashes are ORANGE the band is still BLACK. How rude! Who told them I was going to wear black eyeliner? So that was a disappointment. But then again maybe I should have paid more attention before making my purchase? Especially since they cost €6,95 each. I’m not saying they completely suck, I will still use them, I just would have appreciated them looking less “cheap” and having clear or same color as the lashes band. That would have made my day!

New additions to my brush collection

Sigma Make Me Up Brush Set

After a long wait on one of the items on my wish list; I finally own the Sigma Make Me brush set! Yay for me!
I have waited long on this item, being sold out every time when I tried to purchase it. But the wait is finally over and now I’m the proud owner of a Sigma Make Me Cool brush set!

You may wonder why I was so eager for this particular product. Well, first of all, have you seen the amazing packaging on this thing? So freaking cute! But, also because I’m familiar with the Sigma brand, and I have nothing but good experiences with the brushes I own of this brand. So making a decision on whether or not to buy the brush set was an easy “yes”.
What also triggered me to buy this brush set was the PRICE; at € 99 for a complete 12 pieces brush set, I was sold!

I’m no brush expert or anything, but I know what I like, and what I don’t. I also know what I can afford and what I really can’t. I’m not going to compare the Sigma Brushes to the MAC ones, since I don’t own too many MAC brushes. Even though I am a MAC fan, I must say that I would much rather spend € 99 for 12 brushes of good quality (and adorable) than, € 99 on 2 or 3 MAC brushes.
I get a whole lot more for my money, and I also get a brush container to store them or showcase them, all that for that amount of money. You do the math on that! ;-)

I think the container that these brushes come in is UBER-awesome! That was one of the MAIN reasons I got the brush set. It is a sturdy case that holds up to 20 brushes (I squeezed a couple of my own brushes in to try it out). Also, when taken apart they become two separate brush holders, perfect for storing brushes on your desk, or vanity or floor, where ever you decide to put it! The container also comes in handy for travelling; you just put in your brushes close the lid and off you go! I just love it! And I don’t even travel as much!

The “Make Me Up” collection has a variety of 4 different colors.

- Make Me Classy (Black)
- Make Me Crazy (Purple)
- Make Me Blush (Coral)
- Make Me Cool (Aqua)

I got the Cool one, as you can see from the pictures. I first wanted the purple, but then I was neehhh, the aqua one is way cooler, hence the name Cool.
J

I would say for anyone out there who wants an (what to me is) affordable, good quality, complete brush set with container, try to get your hands on this puppy! You have all the brushes you would need for your make up application, plus they throw in a little bonus, which is a travel size blending brush. How sweet!

I purchased my brush set via Boozyshop, but obviously you can visit the Sigma website and order yours there too, whatever suits you best!

I came across this brand when I was “you-tubing” for reviews on make-up brushes. I heard and saw some really good reviews and I was naturally drawn to the product instantly, especially, when it was mentioned that these are made from Bamboo and are Eco-Friendly. I decided I had to try it out!
So I went on an investigation quest to learn more about this amazingly claimed product. I was mostly interested in the Green Bambu series, because I thought the color was really cool and it seemed more eco-friendly and “green”. I know that doesn’t make ANY sense at all, but I mean I wanted to go green for once so I thought I might as well go all the way!

As the product is described on their website:
Bdellium Tools Green Bambu series brushes are professional eco-friendly makeup brushes with all sustainable bamboo handles and all vegan soft synthetic bristles with an anodized aluminum ferrule. Bamboo is one of the most sustainable resources and environmentally sound plants on Earth. Due to its rapid re-growth cycle, it can be harvested with virtually no impact on the environment. All of the soft synthetic filaments used in the Green Bambu series are not treated with an antibacterial agent. The advantages synthetic bristles includes less or no hair shedding compared to natural bristles, it’s easier to clean and provides light application. The synthetic bristles are hypoallergenic and 100% cruelty free.

When I read this, I was over the moon with excitement. I thought the concept of using Bamboo was truly genius. And even though I own a couple of brushes with natural bristles, I totally agree with them on the synthetic bristles shedding less and easier to clean.

I finally decided then, that I was going to purchase some brushes and see for myself whether or not I liked them. I decided to get 2 brush sets simply because it’s cheaper to get brushes in sets rather than to buy them one by one.

Foundation 4pc. Brush Set.

Described as: the perfect tools for any form of foundation. And can be used with powder, liquid and cream foundation.

The set includes the following brushes:

#957B Precision Kabuki
#955B Finishing
#953B Duet Fiber Foundation
#948B Foundation

I paid €35,95 for this brush set and I must say that it’s totally worth it! If you think about it I only paid €8,99 per brush. And that’s not too bad, considering the fact that it also comes in a handy plastic container with a plastic lid. So it’s easy for storage and also convenient for travelling.

My favorite out of the bunch? That’s hands down the Precision Kabuki! Hence it’s the dirty one in the picture, because after washing them, I forgot to take a picture and ended up using it again. And I was like, whatever be dirty on the picture my favorite one.
J LOL!
I do like the whole set though.

Mineral 5pc. Brush Set.

As described on the website these brushes are designed specifically for usage with mineral makeup but are versatile enough to use in any application.

Agreed on the versatile part! Because I don’t own many mineral based products, however, I do love the precision concealer brush for the application of my Bobbi Brown creamy concealer and corrector.

The brushes included in this set are:

#959B Powder Blending
#942B Slanted Contour
#934B Precision Concealer
#787B Duet Fiber Large Tapered Blending
#778B Large Shadow

For this brush set I also paid the same price which was €35,95 and again I think it’s a great deal, thinking of course about the single price which would be then in this case €7,19 a pop. Not a bad deal ha?

The only down side of these brushes are that the handles are pretty short. Which comes in handy for travelling, but again, I don’t travel as much so… No, but seriously they are pretty short and I have a picture comparison of a Sigma brush vs. the Bdellium brush so you can see what I mean. I do have small hands, but that doesn’t mean I can’t handle “grownup” brushes. So if you like longer handles then this particular set is not quite for you. On the picture below for comparison are the two large shader/shadow brushes, see what I mean?

My favorite one in this set would probably be the Precision concealer, just because right now I have longer nails then normal and applying my corrector and concealer with my fingers is a little tricky at the moment. So the brush gets right in there, where I can’t reach.
Overall I like all the brushes and I would recommend this brand simply because it is 1 affordable 2 they have a wide variety of brushes they won't break your wallet and most importantly they are Eco-Friendly!

Finally got a new camera!

I finally purchased a new camera to take pictures( Duh!) and record! It took me like a gazillion years to get one, and last week I finally did! So YAY! for me!
It came right on time too, since last weekend was Queens Day here in The Netherlands. And as my close friends know, that is my favorite national holiday ever! I wouldn't miss it for the world!
Anyhow, back to the camera.

I don't really know much about electronics, and honestly I didn't research a whole lot before I purchased this camera. I went to compare prices and I came across this one, which I just happened to see in a folder. I liked it a lot, and I was like "yeah, why not?" LOL!

It is a SONY Cyber Shot (DSC-W570) in a Silver (dark grey). It has 16.1 Mega Pixels (which is really good right?), a Carl Zeiss lens, 5x Optical Zoom, Sweep Panorama function and records in HD! I think those are like the main things. But obviously you can look up the specs on the Internet.

This camera is so light weight and small, it fits in every purse I own! So, that is a bonus for me, since I hate carrying around heavy stuff. (Unless I have to of course, like shopping bags full of make up and clothes for instance).
Buying this camera was of great importance for me, because I feel like my blog pictures really suck, and it's one of the main reasons why I don't post as much as I want to. So now I have to think of a new excuse! haha nah, just kidding!!
I also bought it for the sake of having a digital camera, because the one I had, passed away and was never replaced, until now ;-).

I purchased this camera for 169,95 Euros. And I also got a Sony case to store it safely. For me personally, this was an awesome deal. Please note that the prices may vary according to regions.

Of course I had to test out the camera and my favorite model volunteered.
Guess what? That's the only thing he wants to read! :-)
